ECSWE Council Meeting: Building Bridges

Ādaži Waldorf School, Latvia from 24–26 October

Three to four times a year, our members meet for Council meetings. We aim for at least two live meetings a year in changing locations, that are complemented with online meetings in between, to ensure a high level of continuity in our work.

Council meetings offer our 27 national member associations a space to report on important organisational, political and legal developments, to network and exchange good practices, to engage in capacity building and peer learning and to coordinate joint activities and advocacy. Physical Council meetings often feature a public conference or meeting on educational matters.

In line with ECSWE’s workplan for 2025, the ECSWE Council Meeting 2025 in Ādaži, Latvia, will focus on strengthening collaboration, presenting ideas for a new transnational teacher qualification, and shaping ECSWE’s strategic direction. Members will engage in a collegial circle to update one another on national-level work, debrief the 2025 ECSWE member calls, and launch a new event series on European-level challenges. The meeting also includes the first session of the 2025 advocacy training and a workshop to redefine ECSWE’s policy priorities. Key governance decisions will be made during the Extraordinary General Assembly. The meeting emphasizes effective dissemination and networking through shared meals and cultural events.

The agenda, registration link and all meeting files will be shared with our members via email.
