Five board members got elected for the 2022–2025 mandate

The council voted for the new board during the Annual General Meeting of the 7th May 2022 in Lisbon. Three members got re-elected and were joined by two newly elected board members.

One president and two vice-presidents representing the organisation

Mar­gare­ta van Raem­don­ck from Bel­gium renewed her man­date as pres­i­dent of the board, con­tin­u­ing her respon­si­bil­i­ty in rep­re­sent­ing the organ­i­sa­tion. As vice pres­i­dents, the strengths of Iztok Kordiš from Slove­nia and Wil­fried Bia­lik from Ger­many are in keep­ing in mind the full scope of ECSWE’s work, stay­ing in touch with part­ners and advo­cat­ing for our con­cerns. They are also respon­si­ble for rep­re­sent­ing the pres­i­dent in her absence.

The secretary keeping the members’ community alive

Pia Pale from Fin­land took up her sec­ond man­date as board sec­re­tary. She was re-elect­ed for her skills in cre­at­ing spaces for net­work­ing and com­mu­ni­ca­tion with and between our mem­bers. On behalf of the board, she is respon­si­ble for organ­is­ing and tak­ing min­utes of coun­cil meet­ings, fol­low­ing up on the progress of the work­ing groups and keep­ing an eye on the process per­spec­tive in all board tasks.

The treasurer is here to keep us floating

Pedro Miguel from Por­tu­gal start­ed his first man­date as trea­sur­er of ECSWE. With a back­ground in eco­nom­ics, man­age­ment and account­ing, he took a lead­ing role in finan­cial analy­sis and plan­ning. Togeth­er with the man­ag­ing direc­tor, he makes informed deci­sions about the bud­get and is respon­si­ble for the finan­cial aspects of the organisation.
