Five board members got elected for the 2022–2025 mandate
The council voted for the new board during the Annual General Meeting of the 7th May 2022 in Lisbon. Three members got re-elected and were joined by two newly elected board members.
One president and two vice-presidents representing the organisation
Margareta van Raemdonck from Belgium renewed her mandate as president of the board, continuing her responsibility in representing the organisation. As vice presidents, the strengths of Iztok Kordiš from Slovenia and Wilfried Bialik from Germany are in keeping in mind the full scope of ECSWE’s work, staying in touch with partners and advocating for our concerns. They are also responsible for representing the president in her absence.
The secretary keeping the members’ community alive
Pia Pale from Finland took up her second mandate as board secretary. She was re-elected for her skills in creating spaces for networking and communication with and between our members. On behalf of the board, she is responsible for organising and taking minutes of council meetings, following up on the progress of the working groups and keeping an eye on the process perspective in all board tasks.
The treasurer is here to keep us floating
Pedro Miguel from Portugal started his first mandate as treasurer of ECSWE. With a background in economics, management and accounting, he took a leading role in financial analysis and planning. Together with the managing director, he makes informed decisions about the budget and is responsible for the financial aspects of the organisation.
