European Council of Steiner Waldorf Education

Annual Report 2024

The European Council for Steiner Waldorf Education (ECSWE) is an international non-profit organisation (AISBL). It brings together 27 national associations, representing over 800 Steiner Waldorf schools across 28 European countries. Our mission is to support Steiner Waldorf education and promote freedom in education at the European level.

In 2024, ECSWE expanded its impact through EU support and strong collaboration with its members. We advanced work on sustainability and green education, developed new curriculum frameworks, and helped shape European discussions on school success, pedagogical freedom, and digital education. Our members’ active contributions to Council meetings, project development, and advocacy efforts strengthened our collective voice at national and European levels.

Many thanks to all our members, friends and partners for a successful and enriching year.
